Boracay packages in May
Why May bundles look generous on Boracay, and how rain changes what a package is worth.

May is when some resorts would rather discount a bundle than drop the published room rate. You will see “free” island hopping, “free” massage, or a third night. The room rate underneath is often the real discount.
Take the bundle if the included boat is a morning departure you can move when the afternoon squall builds. A voucher that is only valid at 2 p.m. is a weak voucher in May. The weather pattern is the same one described in May activities.
Ask whether the environmental fee and the boat landing fees sit inside the package. “Free tour” sometimes means the boat seat is free and the islet fees are not.
If you mainly want a cheaper room and you will swim from the beach, ignore the activity bundle and negotiate, or simply book, the room. An unused voucher is not a saving.
Travel in May with a spare half day. Packages cannot refund a cancelled flight banked behind a non-refundable promo fare.
