The Loboc river cruise

What the Loboc boat lunch is, where it sits in a Bohol day, and how to keep it from eating the morning.

Boat schedules, resort rules, trail permits, and entrance fees change. Confirm details with the local tourism office, port, or park unit before you travel. This site is an editorial guide, not a booking desk.

The Loboc cruise is a covered boat, a buffet-style meal, and music on a river that is green and slow. It is pleasant. It is not a wilderness trip, and it should not be the first commitment of a day you also gave to tarsiers.

Take the seating time you will actually enjoy. Midday boats are hotter and more crowded. A later seating can be calmer and still get you back to Panglao before dark if the driver is not also trying to squeeze in the hills.

Confirm what the fare includes, especially drinks, and whether you want the floating buffet or a lunch in town. Some travellers prefer the river without the performance. That is a fair preference.

If your only Bohol day is countryside, choose two of the three: sanctuary, hills, Loboc. The overview explains why. The bridge and the church at Loboc are worth ten minutes on foot before you board if you are already there.
